BEACH CONDITION UPDATE

RECOMMENDED NO ACCESS TO BEACH 3 HOURS EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE

 

FLINDERS BEACH 40KPH

 Tracks Open: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 12

Tracks Closed: 11

Best for Trailers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 & 12

Back Track to Area 7 & 8: CLOSED – Due to flooding
Back Track to Area 12: OPEN

Amity Point Access: OPEN
Flinders Entrance: OPEN    

Adder Rock Access: OPEN – Not recommended for trailers

FLINDERS BEACH NOTES:

  • Beware of fallen trees and washouts along the beach
  • Backtrack between campground 10 & 11 closed due to flooding
  • Very high tides and swells are causing significant erosion

 

MAIN BEACH 60KPH

Tracks Open: 1, 5, 7, 10, 13, 14 & 15

Tracks Closed: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11 & 12

Best for Trailers: 13, 14 & 15

George Nothling Drive Point Lookout Access: OPEN

Alfred Martin Way Dunwich Access (Causeway):  OPEN

MAIN BEACH NOTES:

  • No access to Jumpinpin
  • Keyholes open (2nd track on your right heading south from George Nothling access)
  • Very high tides and swells are causing significant erosion

 

RANGER NOTES:

  • PLEASE WALK ACCESS TRACKS BEFORE ENTERING BEACH OR CAMPING TRACKS.
  • DO NOT DRIVE OVER OR PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON DUNES OR VEGETATION.
  • DO NOT CAMP ALONG THE FIRE TRAIL AT THE BACK OF THE CAMPGROUNDS
  • DO NOT CAMP WITHIN 10 METRES OF FRONTAL DUNES DUE TO EROSION!
  • IF BINS ARE FULL PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU
  • DO NOT DRIVE OR PARK IN RESTRICTED ACCESS
