BEACH CONDITION UPDATE

RECOMMENDED NO ACCESS TO BEACH 2 HOURS EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE

 

FLINDERS BEACH 40KPH

Tracks Open: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12

Tracks Closed: 2

Best for Trailers: 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12

Back Track to Area 7 & 8: CLOSED
Back Track to Area 12: OPEN

Amity Point Access: OPEN
Flinders Entrance: OPEN    

Adder Rock Access: OPEN - Accessible only at dead low tide.

FLINDERS BEACH NOTES:

  • Beware of washouts along the beach especially Adder Rock end
  • Beware of fallen trees protruding from the sand

 

 

MAIN BEACH 60KPH

 RECOMMENDED NO ACCESS TO BEACH 2.5 HOURS EITHER SIDE OF HIGH TIDE

Tracks Open: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15

Tracks Closed: 1, 2, 3, 4, 

Best for Trailers:   7, 10 & 15

George Nothling Drive Point Lookout Access: OPEN

Alfred Martin Way Dunwich Access (Causeway):  OPEN - Limited access

MAIN BEACH NOTES:

  • Jumpinpin only accessible at dead low with a very small window.

 

RANGER NOTES:

  • PLEASE WALK ACCESS TRACKS BEFORE ENTERING BEACH OR CAMPING TRACKS.
  • DO NOT DRIVE OVER OR PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON DUNES OR VEGETATION.
  • DO NOT CAMP ALONG THE FIRE TRAIL AT THE BACK OF THE CAMPGROUNDS
  • DO NOT CAMP WITHIN 10 METRES OF FRONTAL DUNES DUE TO EROSION!
  • IF BINS ARE FULL PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU
  • DO NOT DRIVE OR PARK IN RESTRICTED ACCESS
