FLINDERS BEACH
No Driving time is 2 hours either side of high tide with a speed limit of 40kph.
Tracks Closed: 2
Back Track to Area 7 & 8, 10 & 11: CLOSED
Back Track to Area 12: OPEN
Amity Point Access: OPEN
Flinders Entrance: OPEN
Adder Rock Access: OPEN – Even at low tide, access to Flinders camping area is not recommended due to erosion.
FLINDERS BEACH NOTES:
- Beware of washouts along the beach especially at the Adder Rock end.
- Beware of fallen trees protruding from the sand.
- It is turtle nesting season - please drive carefully.
- IF BINS ARE FULL PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU.
MAIN BEACH
No Driving time is 3 hours either side of high tide with a speed limit of 60kph.
Tracks Closed: 1,2,3 & 4. No access between 7&8 on the back track.
Best for Trailers: 7, 10 & 15
George Nothling Drive, Point Lookout Access: OPEN
Alfred Martin Way, Dunwich Access (Causeway): OPEN
MAIN BEACH NOTES:
- Do not remove bollards.
- It is turtle nesting season - please drive carefully.
- Only use marked Access Tracks – remember they are 2 way tracks.
- Do not drive over / park your vehicle on dunes or vegetation – these are Restricted Access Areas.
- The keyholes are open & accessible from the beach - dogs are not permitted.
- Do not Camp along the Fire Trail at the back of the camping areas.
- Do not Camp within 5 meters of frontal dunes due to erosion!
- IF BINS ARE FULL PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU.
