Bookings and Border and Travel Restrictions (updated November 2021)
Do I need to be Vaccinated to Stay?
After 17 December 2021, Minjerribah Camping will not accept guests aged 16 years and older who have not been fully vaccinated or cannot provide a COVID-19 digital certificate verifying they are fully vaccinated.
All guests 16 years and older intending to stay with Minjerribah Camping after 17 December 2021 will be required to supply their vaccination certificate, no later than seven days prior to arrival.
Minjerribah Camping reserves the right to cancel a booking where proof of COVID vaccination(s) have not been produced seven days prior to arrival.
Relaxation of Restrictions?
Minjerribah Camping will be following advice from the Queensland Government Chief Medical Officer as well as the National Aboriginal and Island Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) and ensure it is in line with the COVID-19 Safety Plan - we will continue to encourage social & physical distancing.
We recommend to sign up to our waitlist here and we will contact you if anything becomes avaialble.
All extra guests must be added into each booking. In developing our COVID safe plan, we have reviewed the maximum capacity (by way of head count) on each campground. Protecting the natural environment of Minjerribah and our local indigenous community remain key considerations and as a result of this review, we have placed a maximum cap on each campsite in all camping areas of 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children (16 yeas and under)
What is the CovidSafe Plan?
Please click here to see our current CovidSafe Plan. Please note this is subject to change as your travel dates may be subject to different conditions.
What if the island closes due to Covid
In the unlikely event Covid impacts the island again, we will be in touch with all campers - please do not call the office - we will be in touch with you via email with instructions
What changes are there to camping during Covid?
Currently we are not able to do the following (unless you already had an existing booking prior to the changes)
- Adams Beach and Bradbury's Beach are all closed to campers until further notice. Pre-existing bookings have been honoured where possible but some cancellations are inevitable under Covid circumstances.
